Darwin correctional facilities project

The NT Government will develop new large-scale correctional facilities in Darwin to relieve the strain on the Territory's corrections
system.

The facilities include a dedicated men's remand and intake centre and a stand-alone 200-bed purpose-built women's facility.

New men’s remand and intake centre

A new, contemporary 1,200 bed men’s remand and intake centre will integrate with and enhance the Territory’s existing correctional network.
