Electricity pricing reforms update
The second phase of reforms to electricity tariffs will commence 1 January 2026.
Time-of-use tariffs
Time-of-use tariffs will be available to households and small businesses from 1 January 2026. These tariffs offer different prices at different times of the day and encourage the use of electricity when demand is lower. They will help customers save money if they can shift some of their electricity use to lower-demand periods, and will help support the stability of the electricity network.
