Budget Repair September 2022 update
A progress update on the implementation of government’s response to the Fiscal Strategy Panel’s final report, A plan for budget repair as at September 2022.
On 16 April 2019, the Chief Minister released the Fiscal Strategy Panel’s final report, A plan for budget repair, along with the Territory Government’s response to the report’s recommendations, with the aim to return the Territory’s budget to a sustainable position over the medium to long term.
Further progress has been made across government in implementing the 74 reforms accepted in full, in part or in principle by the Territory Government. As at September 2022, 59 recommendations have been fully implemented, 8 are underway, and 7 have been superseded.
